Our Team

David Orford
FOUNDER, MANAGING DIRECTOR
David, an actuary, founded Financial Synergy, which became Australia’s leading provider of superannuation administration software. After successfully selling the business to IRESS in 2016, he is now devoting his time to researching and creating innovative retirement solutions, and directing The Orford Foundation.

Richard Leckey
GENERAL MANAGER
Richard is a corporate advisor and specialist corporate finance consultant. A long term advisor to Financial Synergy and Optimum Pensions, he is responsible for Optimum’s business strategy, participating in the product development and commercialisation phase and now has a broader management role.

Stephen Huppert
GENERAL MANAGER
Stephen is an independent consultant and actuary who has held senior roles at major professional services firms. With a long-term interest in both retirement and digital solutions, Stephen promotes Optimum Pensions via thought leadership and the use of social media.

Jim Hennington
HEAD OF INNOVATION
Jim is a recognised thought leader on retirement income strategy and modelling. An actuary, he is involved in product design and developing modelling tools to make Optimum Pensions’ products accessible to superannuation funds, financial planners and retirees.

Tamara Ben-Moshe
MARKETING MANAGER
Tamara brings her experience in senior marketing roles to the team, providing a wealth of knowledge and experience across all areas of the marketing mix. Tamara develops the Optimum Pensions brand and implements integrated strategic marketing initiatives.

Peter Rowe
CONSULTANT
Peter has spent over 35 years in the superannuation industry with over 30 years in senior management roles. He has had extensive experience in pension management and administration and is keen to implement this new range of efficient and effective income streams.
